Human Resources Officer in Nepal

PSI Nepal is hiring the Human Resources Officer in Nepal. This Human Resources Officer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Human Resource Officer is responsible for all HR Administrative tasks including preparing contracts, managing the recruitment process, filing & documentations and assisting in processing the payroll for smooth operation of  HR functions. The Human Resource Officer is also responsible for providing support to Human Resource Department in implementing HR policies & Procedures and carrying out day to day HR operations activities.

  • Nepal. The Human Resource Department works collaboratively across PSI and provides effective, efficient and
  • accountable support functions essential for the delivery of high-quality programs. The Human Resource Officer is
  • responsible for all HR Administrative tasks including preparing contracts, managing the recruitment process, filing &
  • documentations and assisting in processing the payroll for smooth operation of HR functions. The Human Resource
  • Officer is also responsible for providing support to Human Resource Department in implementing HR policies &
  • Procedures and carrying out day to day HR operations activities.

Core Responsibility

1. Manage recruitment of staff, including the placement of advertisements, screening of resumes, contacting candidates, coordination of interviews, reference checking, etc.

2. Coordinate with Senior HR Officer for staff appointment, termination, changes in terms and conditions of employment

3. Prepare contracts of staff and consultants

4. Conduct Bridger insight screening of all staff and consultants as per PSI/Washington’s guidelines

5. Develop and update induction packages and organize staff induction programs

6. Ensure timely coordination with Insurance company for Medical Insurance, Accidental Insurance and other insurance related to staff

7. Coordinate with IT department for the creating and deactivating the email ID of staffs

8. Coordinate with Procurement team for processing the requisitions and staff identity card as an when required

9. Assist Senior HR Officer in processing payroll when required.

10. Ensure timely submission/deposit the breakdown of PF, CIT , Tax and Gratuity of employee in respective government offices.

11. Ensure that the HR software is updated with all the required information

12. Manage the on-line leave recording system and ensure that it is running smoothly

13. Manage the on-line timesheet review them and ensure that timesheets are properly filled

14. Maintain and update proper records related to staff, contracts, consultants etc

15. Carry out necessary filing and documentation both in hard copies and electronic

16. Provide necessary assistance in conducting salary and benefits surveys

17. Coordinate staff meetings, other HR related workshops and staff recreational activities

18. Organize exit interviews as applicable and carry out necessary exit procedures for staffs

19. Deal with queries from staff regarding HR policies and procedures

20. Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained at all times.

21. Any other activities as assigned by the supervisor

Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related degree 
  • Minimum 3 years of similar experience  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with attention to details 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to make a positive impact as a team player
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Nepali
  • Good computer skills in word, excel and PowerPoint
