The Election Commission said it wanted to install CCTV cameras at all 753 ballot-counting centers nationwide for local elections this Friday, but that has not happened.

The Commission states that camera surveillance is only possible in about 300 locations because the local government was unable to control the camera.
“We said we couldn’t provide surveillance cameras ourselves, and some local governments couldn’t provide surveillance cameras,” said Election Commission Chairman Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya.
