Terms of Reference – HR Coordinator

Start Date: 1 May 2021

Location: Remotely/ Country Office

End Date:  28 February 2022

Reporting to: Human Resource & Organisational Development Director 

Type: Short term contract for 10 months

SCOPE OF WORK

Plan International Nepal is looking to fill the role of HR Coordinator for short term until 28 February 2022 (Short Term Support).

The HR Coordinator shall provide full, support to the HR function at Plan International Nepal in terms of:

  • Support in the Recruitment Process
  • Provide support in orientation and onboarding new staff
  • Assist benefits administration including provident fund, CIT, leave, insurance, relocation etc
  • Facilitate exit process of departing staff
  • Support for smooth operation and administration of online HRIS system.
  • Provide necessary support in probation review and performance management 
  • Compile learning and development needs and support in staff development 
  • Maintain strong documentation and filing system both digital and physical, disseminate HR information, Policy Memos and other relevant communication to the concerned staff
  • Ensure records and files for personal files as well as recruitment files (both digital and physical) are complete HR admin & operations (Drafting letters, staff insurance, vendor agreements)
  • Keep information up-to-date and provide as and when required 
  • Any other support provided in HR function as needed

REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATION

The minimum requirement and qualifications are as follows: 

  • Master’s Degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any relevant field with 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience in the field of Human Resources Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in coordination, liaison and networking, managing teams, finance and other critical management domains. 
  • Experience working in Human Resource software (ERP)
  • Proficient in English and Nepali Language
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
  • Experience in payroll management and software will be an added advantage

Physical Environment

This position is based in Country Office, Lalitpur however s/he needs field travel as necessary
