According to Jitpur Simara  Election Update 2079, Rajan Poudel of Maoist Centre won as Mayor with 18,743 votes in the Jitpur Simara Submetropolitan defeating Saraswati Devi Chaudhary (CPN-UML) who received 17,779 votes in Nepal local elections 2022 (Sthaniya Chunab 2079). Similarly, Bhola Prasad Adhikari of CPN-UML won as Deputy Mayor with 17492 votes in the Jitpur Simara Submetropolitan defeating Megha Shahi (Nepali Congress) who received 15842 votes in Nepal local elections 2079. According to the Election Commission, Nepal, Jitpur Simara Submetropolitan City has 70,064 eligible voters for the election Nepal.
